Our Story
A Company Built on the Belief That Financial Understanding Changes Lives
Meridian Owl was founded to fill a gap — providing structured, practitioner-led financial education that is both accessible and genuinely useful to individuals navigating real financial decisions.
Back to HomeWho We Are
The Meridian Owl Story
Meridian Owl was established in 2018 in Singapore by a group of financial practitioners who noticed the same pattern across their careers: many individuals made significant financial decisions — saving, investing, planning for retirement — without a foundational understanding of how those decisions actually worked.
The existing options at the time were either too product-focused (financial advisors trying to sell something) or too academic (textbooks and courses designed for finance students, not everyday people). There was very little in between.
We set out to create structured, impartial financial education that would serve the full spectrum — from someone just beginning to track their expenses to a mid-career professional thinking carefully about what comes next. Our programmes are built around learning, not selling. Every curriculum element was designed to give participants knowledge they can act on themselves, regardless of which products or services they eventually choose.
Today, Meridian Owl operates from Suntec City in the heart of Singapore's financial district. Over 800 participants have completed at least one of our programmes, and a meaningful number return for subsequent ones.

How We Operate
Our Standards and Approach
Practitioner Credentials
All Meridian Owl educators bring direct industry experience — not just academic qualifications. Facilitators have worked in areas including wealth management, capital markets, and financial planning in Singapore and regionally.
Curriculum Review Process
Programme content is reviewed and updated annually. We incorporate participant feedback, regulatory changes, and developments in local and regional markets to keep the material relevant and accurate.
Privacy & Data Protection
Participant information is handled in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). We collect only what is necessary for programme administration and do not share data with third parties for commercial purposes.
Impartial Education
We do not hold arrangements with financial product providers and do not earn commissions on any product or service. Our programmes are education-only. What participants do with their knowledge is entirely their own choice.
Participant Feedback Loop
Each cohort completes a structured feedback process at the midpoint and conclusion of every programme. Responses inform facilitation style, content pacing, and workbook quality on an ongoing basis.
Singapore-Registered Entity
Meridian Owl is a Singapore-registered company operating from Suntec Tower Three. We conduct all programmes in-person at our office premises, with a blended option available for select courses.
Our Expertise
Financial Education Rooted in Singapore
Singapore's financial landscape is distinctive. The CPF system, regulatory environment managed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, local property ownership dynamics, and the city-state's position as a regional capital markets hub all shape how individuals here ought to think about their finances. Generic financial education — drawn from US or UK contexts — often fails to account for these specificities.
Meridian Owl's programmes are designed with this in mind. From the Foundations curriculum, which incorporates CPF contribution structure and local debt instruments, to the Wealth Stewardship programme, which covers Singapore-specific estate considerations and trust structures, every element of our content is placed in local context.
The team's collective experience spans personal financial planning, equities research, fixed income markets, and wealth advisory within Singapore's financial industry. This depth allows us to engage with nuanced questions that arise in our sessions — and to do so with the kind of practical clarity that comes from having worked in these areas rather than merely studied them.
We work with young professionals at the start of their earning years, individuals approaching mid-career inflection points, and families beginning to think seriously about multi-generational planning. Across all cohorts, the goal is the same: to leave participants better equipped to navigate their own financial lives, whatever direction they take.
